JOB SUMMARY : The Policy Analyst will support the Tulalip Tribes through the Treaty Rights Office on a wide array of natural and cultural resource issues that are concerning to the Tribe. Analyze impacts of proposed projects to the Tulalip’s off reservation treaty-reserved rights including treaty fishing rights and other cultural rights Formulate written responses and / or recommendations, and oral presentations to address them. Advocate for tribal treaty rights and collaborate with other tribal departments such as; state and federal agency representatives, non-governmental organizations, and state and federal legislative bodies, in order to create and execute programs and policies. Help organize and represent the Tulalip Tribes on relevant technical or policy-related forums. The Treaty Rights Policy Analyst is expected to work well independently and cooperatively, on a wide range of projects and subject matter under the guidance and direction of the Senior Environmental Policy Analyst and the Director of Treaty Rights and Government Affairs.
COMPENSATION : $33.27 hr.
