Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates business and IT alignment, connecting strategy to execution, through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization’s business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
- Maintains and evangelizes technology standards and guidelines and identify application and technology rationalization opportunities.
- Promotes modern technical and design best practices and trends, and act as a visionary to continue to progress architectural direction for future projects.
- Adapts to changing business and operating models.
- Define and maintain the SAP enterprise technology and architecture strategy in alignment with business goals
- Architect and document technical blueprints for SAP S / 4HANA implementations, detailing system architecture, data models, integration interfaces, and technical configurations
- Define technology strategy and roadmap to evolve SAP S / 4HANA implementation and its evolution in broader SGWS technology landscape.
- Develop precise technical specifications and conceptual solution designs for build and enhancement activities, providing clear guidance to development and engineering teams
- Conduct architecture reviews ensuring technical, functional and non-functional requirements are covered in solution design and implementation and adheres to SGWS architecture and technology standards.
- Provide leadership guidance to SAP Domain Architects.
- Contribute to developing References Architectures and reusable design patterns to support composable and loosely coupled architecture for enterprise applications that involve accessing SAP S4 / HANA.
- Analyze infrastructure platforms, hardware requirements, and user interaction models to inform technical solution design based on both functional and technical criteria
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and technical components for SAP S / 4HANA solutions
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the SAP S / 4HANA platform, including module capabilities, technical features, and supported business processes.
- Oversee technical design, testing, and modification phases to confirm that solution architecture meets all technical and quality requirements
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, System Analysis, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Typically, 10+ years of experience in IT and business / industry including strategic and operations planning10+ years of direct experience with SAP ERP and other SAP products.Hands-on experience in architecting and implementing SAP ERP systems in large enterprises.Expert level understanding of enterprise technology landscape including Cloud technologies, Integration patterns and middleware, Customer facing digital applications, etc.2-5 years conducting focused architecture work; strategic visioning, developing artifacts, road-mapping, continues improvement, solutioning, influencing and facilitating architecture decisions, coaching teams and people.Experience in working in multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.Native-level proficiency / fluent in English.Experience in DevOps and Agile technology environments (preferred).Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of system dev. life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., waterfall, spiral, SAFe, agile, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize and DevOps).Strong knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.Proficient knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.Solid knowledge of basic graphical modeling approaches, tools, and model repositories.Proven skills in maintaining good relationships with IT and the business who have the most impact and influence on the architecture, managing stakeholder expectations and impacts of the architecture work.Proficient skills in providing the necessary leadership for tasks related to the development of an enterprise’s solution architecture, such as governance, creating a portfolio roadmap, and monitoring the current state with the ability to support different development approaches.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams, with the proven ability to communicate with business acumen and work with diverse stakeholders, including those in an outsourced environment.Proven ability to analyze and translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into information architecture requirements.Proven ability to support development of teammates by sharing knowledge and experience.Physical Demands
