Senior Estimator

Salt Lake City, UT (On-site)

Westates Construction Company

Westates Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to support our project management team across multifamily, single-family, office, and industrial projects. This role reports to the Director of Construction and plays a key part in developing accurate budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring financial performance across all projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare detailed budgets, cost estimates, and timelines for new and ongoing projects
  • Track and analyze budget performance and highlight areas for improvement
  • Identify and qualify new vendors / subcontractors to reduce costs and improve reliability
  • Review unit costs and bid data to drive consistency and savings
  • Resolve PO and billing issues with vendors and subs
  • Provide analytical and estimating support to the Head of Construction as needed

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of estimating experience (preferably experience in Commercial Multifamily Home)
  • Strong Excel skills ; experience with BuilderMT and Sage is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
