Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Knoxville, TN 37920 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract Unit : Neuro Critical Care (NCC) - with floating to Medical Critical Care as needed Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : Night, 12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,730 - $1,770 Patient Ratios : 2 : 1 and 3 : 1 Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Friday / Saturday nights) Holiday Requirement : Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday blocks (Thanksgiving / Black Friday, Christmas Eve / Day, New Year's Eve / Day) Block Scheduling : Available On-call : Not required COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Flu Vaccine : Required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro Critical Care or Medical ICU preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee (required at time of submission) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and Stroke certification required Experience with Cerner EMR charting system required First-time travel nurses are not accepted Ability to float between Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and required holidays Flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Local candidates must reside outside a 25-mile radius of Knoxville ICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and implement individualized care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) Float between NCC and Medical Critical Care units as assigned Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards Participate in orientation and complete required onboarding modules Apply now to join Knoxville's top healthcare team as a travel ICU Registered Nurse.
