✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Awake Night Staff at Southern California Treatment Program in Tustin, Placentia, and Costa Mesa, CA ✨

Southern California Treatment Programs (SCTP) has been serving youth from Child Welfare, Social Services, and probation systems around Los Angeles and Orange County since 2012. Our nine CARF-accredited group homes, all of which are licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs, provide a safe and nurturing environment in which the youth can learn, grow, and develop strong ties with their local community. SCTP utilizes a community-centered approach, enabling our youth to attend school, hold a job, volunteer, and engage in community projects.

Pay : Entry rate starting at $19.00 per hour; $1000.00 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Direct Care position paid out at 3 and 6 Months!

What you will do : You will provide overnight safety and around-the-clock supervision for our residential youth and promote an atmosphere that is professional and supportive. You will monitor and document their behaviors and actions, participate and assist with educational and recreational activities, and work in collaboration with other departments to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.

To be considered you must : Demonstrate empathy, patience, respect, and a genuine desire to work with troubled teens ~ Be at least 21 years old, pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test ~ Possess a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years ~ Have relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice, either as a mentor or caregiver ~ Must possess one of the following qualifications : a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Child Development Teaching Permit, 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Psychology, certification as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, or one year of full-time experience in a group home, therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program.

Information regarding Schedule / hours / shifts :

A Shift : Sunday - Wednesday 10 : 00 pm - 8 : 00 am

B Shift : Wednesday - Saturday 10 : 00 pm - 8 : 00 am
