Land Planner

BGE is seeking a Planner to join our Planning and Landscape Architecture Studio in Houston. Our team consists of smart, fun, and talented individuals who work together in a collaborative environment. Candidates should be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong design, graphic, and communication skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the development of conceptual plans, master plans, and lotting studies
  • Conduct project research and reviews local development codes and regulations
  • Prepare base maps and project graphics to support the planning process
  • Conduct land use and site analysis
  • Prepare general plans and subdivision plats
  • Prepare, collects, and coordinates project documents
  • Prepare subdivision and zoning applications
  • Coordinate with local governmental agencies
  • Coordinate with civil engineers and other consultants
  • Assist with special planning projects as directed by leadership

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field
  • 1-5 years of demonstrated work experience
  • Solid understanding of planning principles, practices, and techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Suite software
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet firm deadlines
