Overview
- Under general supervision, applies skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of materials, equipment and installation of materials and equipment to Wanzek or Client specifications
- Performs inspection of various project activities; generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities; Notifies management of significant problems; Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities
Responsibilities
Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on large scale wind, solar, and industrial projectsIncluded but not limited to; roads, environmental (SWPPP), excavations, concrete, rebar, substations, transmission lines, solar racking and PV installation, underground utilities, wind turbine installation, steel erection, welding, piping, valves, pumps, compressors and a wide variety of other mechanical and electrical equipmentDemonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skillsMust plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recordedOn a daily basis monitor and record all work scope being executed and follow reporting criteria as determined by FQM and / or the client, as neededPrevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspectionsDetects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective mannerWork closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA / QC requirementsInterface with field supervision to maintain an open line of communication and reporting monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performanceMaintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copy and / or electronic filesInspect the work and establish punch listsCapable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipmentEnsures daily task schedules are met to meet the project scheduleInteracts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team membersMaintain a professional appearanceOther Duties as assignedQualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field Or High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 1-3 years experience in related construction fieldInspection related certifications, such as NDE, preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
