The Customer Support Administrative Assistant will perform general administrative assistant duties. This position will work closely with engineers, operations staff, and management.

Job Summary : Support production control, engineers and operations by making sure job travelers are created timely and all prints, customer purchase orders, receivers and invoices are filed timely.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Prepare Contract Review Checklist for all new purchase orders received, and complete the Header and Administrative Section. Upon receiving the form after is has been distributed to Engineering and Quality, review the form to make sure all sections are complete.
  • Review customer purchase orders for part number, revision, price and quantity. Communicate with customers any discrepancies
  • Print job travelers in ERP system after they have been entered.
  • Release customer prints to Engineering, Production and Inspection - verify revision on customer purchase order
  • Create engineering folders for new jobs received
  • Prepare Certificate of Conformance packages for Quality Manager's review and signature
  • Track on time delivery
  • Update Quote Log with win / losses and new quotes
  • Update Current Jobs file
  • Send invoices to customers
  • Enter cash receipts into ERP system
  • Answer telephone, respond to customer inquiries

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written)
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment

We machine exotic aerospace materials in sizes from 20" in diameter to very large retaining rings and fan cases. We utilize the many outstanding aerospace suppliers in central Connecticut for supporting processes such as Heat-Treat, NDT, EDM, etc. as required by our customers. This keeps A-1 focused and very competitive at our own competency of turning and milling.
