Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections on medical devices and related components, ensuring all products meet internal specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a regulated industry and a solid understanding of quality systems governed by FDA and ISO standards. This position requires thorough documentation and compliance with established procedures and protocols within the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Job Description
- Perform and document inspection of incoming and finished goods, including implants, instruments, raw materials, and trays, in accordance with approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Create and maintain non-conformance (NC) records, including segregation of defective products and documentation within the NC system.
- Notify QC Supervisor / Manager of identified non-conformances.
- Conduct product inspections based on established Sampling Plans.
- Update and maintain ERP system status and product location for accurate identification and traceability.
- Perform Stock Audits, First Article Inspections (FAI), and Special Inspections (SI) as assigned.
- Understand and apply the Quality Management System, including relevant FDA and international standards.
Skills Required
Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance department within a regulated industry preferred.Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.Ability and willingness to learn the use of basic measurement tools such as calipers, profile overlays, hand gauges, etc.Basic proficiency with computers and ability to work within digital systems (e.g., ERP, NC tracking).Manufacturing / inspection environment; may require extended periods of standing or sitting.Use of precision instruments and tools on medical-grade components.Must adhere to safety protocols and cleanroom or quality-controlled environments, as applicable.Education
High school diploma or GED required.Pay Rate
