Job Description
Base pay is $19.00 per hour, plus $1.25 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift
2nd Shift : Monday-Friday, 3 pm-11 pm

Duties And Responsibilities
This is a training position. Forklift Operator 1 employees will monitor the flow of finished product from production to assigned location within the plant. Associate ensures all materials needed within production are available. Associate controls all finished product distribution. While training for this position the Forklift Operator 1 will take direction from Forklift Operator 2's and Forklift Operator 3's.
- Conduct daily crown and / or forklift safety checks; maintain forklift battery and propane tanks; complete Safe Work Order ticket for forklift maintenance (front and back aisles)
- Complete all Inventory Control Label tags and ICL log sheets for finished goods coming from production (front and back aisles)
- Maintain salvage tickets and salvage log sheets for racks and knock-out gaylords from production (front and back aisles)
- Move racks and set empty racks on-line to remove finished product from production lines (front aisle)
- Crush, bale and load waste cardboard from production area (front aisle)
- Deliver crating cardboard to crate area (back aisle)
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas daily (front and back aisles)
- Supply regrind to production whenever needed and log regrind ticket (back aisle)
- Provide pigment, purge, substrate, regrind master batch and test material to all lines (back aisle)
- Provide micro ingredients to Blend Plant when necessary
- Perform repacking responsibilities that include reboxing product and ensuring product is entered into inventory and delivered appropriately (front aisle)
- Remove recyclable material from production line (back aisle)
- Load and unload trailers and deliver the paperwork to the appropriate personnel
- Perform daily warehouse inventory of regrind, boxes, pigment, nails / spikes, glue, purge, brown material, low gloss material, and Gaylord liners (back aisle)
- Enter into MES weights from regrind tags, where applicable (back aisle)
- Ensure pigments and raw materials are not left in aisles and are stored properly (back aisle)
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required (front and back aisles)
- Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
- Observe health and safety practices when handling bacon strips
- Train on MES for receipt of incoming materials
- Assist in handling dispositioned QA product
Qualifications
High School Graduate / G.E.DSix months experience as a Warehouse Associate 2 or six months related experience preferredMust possess a thorough understanding of the Company distribution process and procedureMust have good eye / hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity including a skill to use hand and electrical tools, and an ability to read and comprehend numbersMust be able to lift up to 86lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 87 to 100lbsMust be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with others.
