Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :
Conduct field investigations and perform failure / accident analysis on incidents involving all types of vehicles and mechanical equipment and their impact on the human bodyConduct research and forensic investigations in the areas of impact biomechanics, occupant protection, ergonomics, workplace safety, and / or medical devicesConduct vehicular accident reconstruction analysesEvaluate bodily injuries inflicted by machinery, automobiles, mechanical equipment or slip / trip and fallsApply engineering principles in accordance with industry standards to investigation analysisConduct unbiased investigations for various types of clientsPrepare and submit written reports, documenting findings and results when requestedExplain to clients, in layman's terms, your investigation, analysis and findingsDeliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groupsProvide expert testimony in legal proceedingsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company-paid educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societiesDevelop and maintain client relationsPosition Requirements :
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited schoolMaster's Degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics or similarEducation or training in Impact BiomechanicsMinimum of three years, 5+ years preferred, of post-academic engineering work experienceP. E. registration through testing or ability to obtainPublic speaking experience a plusExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsPhysical Requirements :
