Developmental Pathways has an opportunity for a Physical Therapist (PT) - Evaluator in our Early Intervention (EI)department who will provide developmental strategies relating to physical therapy during evaluations to children with physical, genetic, neurological, cognitive, and / or orthopedic disorders. The Physical Therapist will conduct early intervention evaluations and assessments for children under 3 years old who are referred for early intervention services. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will use standardized evaluation and assessment tools to perform evaluation and assessments to determine eligibility for Early Intervention. The PT will complete written reports from either evaluations or assessments.

Our ideal PT will possess strong organization, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. The PT will actively develop collaborative relationships with individuals, families, peers, and other community partners and be proactive to identify problems and seek solutions for both internal and external customers.

This is a 40-hour hybrid position, working remotely and coming into our headquarters in Aurora, CO / off-site locations as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited therapy program

Two years experience in the relevant field

Specialty certification (ASHA or NBCOT)

Active DORA licensure in Colorado

Demonstrated experience with specific programmatic concepts, practices and procedures

Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate family schedules

  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and provide proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Meet our driving requirements - no suspensions and no more than two (2) tickets in the past three (3) years

Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.

Preferred

Experience or training in Developmental Assessment of Young Children 2 Edition (DAYC-2) or Infant-Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA)

Training in Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) administration

Vision screening training

Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention

Additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment

Knowledge of rules and regulations for the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities

Conduct early intervention evaluations to determine eligibility for Early Intervention services.

Uses Early Intervention Colorado state-approved assessment tools

Must meet the personnel standards set forth by EI Colorado

Perform hearing and vision screenings

Shares evaluation results with family and provides next steps

Develop and maintains working case files per department policies and procedures

Submit billing and supporting documentation timely

Assure paperwork submitted by other service providers, individuals in service and community partners is completed, distributed, and filed as required

Maintain EI Provider portal profile

Ensure adherence to Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities / DIDD rules and regulations and agency policies and procedures in provision of services. Assists in assuring full compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulatory guidelines
