About the Assignment

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel Med / Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day shift contract at a top-tier hospital in Syracuse, New York . The ideal candidate will bring strong critical thinking skills, comfort working in a fast-paced environment, and prior experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma settings.

You’ll work with a collaborative team caring for a diverse adult medical-surgical patient population with telemetry monitoring.

Assignment Details

Shift Schedule : 12-hour days (7a–7p)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement : Some holidays required (rotation with staff)

Charting System : Epic Systems Corporation – EpicCare EMR

Care Setting : Adult Med / Surg with Telemetry

Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective nursing care to adult med / surg patients, including those on telemetry

Start IVs, draw labs, and interpret basic cardiac monitoring

Perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor responses

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care plans

Maintain documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Qualifications

License : Active New York State RN license (must be in good standing)

Experience : Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a facility of similar size and trauma level

Certifications : BLS (AHA) – required

ACLS – preferred

Preferred :

Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience

Epic EMR experience
