General Information

Under general direction, accurately take down verbatim in machine shorthand or voice writing all required or requested court hearings; read back the record upon request; produce official, verbatim transcripts of court proceedings in conformity with court standards, codes, Rules of Court, and time requirements; maintain records in accordance with GC 69955; and perform related duties.

Licensure :
In accordance with Section 8016 of the California Business and Professions Code, official court reporters working in any court shall possess a current Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) certificate issued by the Court Reporters Board of California.
DESIRABLE CERTIFICATION & SKILLS :
California Driver's License : Because the Court operates in multiple branches, the employee may be required to travel to other court locations, and possession of a valid California driver's licenses is therefore required. To be considered you must possess a valid California driver's license.
