Position Summary This position reports to the , within the Department. The Financial Information System Technical Support Specialist performs the following duties :

• Oversees the Financial Information System (FIS) within the (UFS) team to ensure functionality and data integrity
• Provides tier-one troubleshooting FIS support and Hyland OnBase (OnBase) for both UFS and the campus community
• Provides the campus, training on policies and procedures for use of the FIS and OnBase system
• Provides documentation on the use of the FIS system
• Creates ad-hoc queries and reports as needed
• Interfaces with OIT on training, software, and system upgrades
• Coordinates the FIS module upgrades for the campus, including user acceptance testing
• Coordinates annual user access audit for campus financial systems
• Ongoing FIS Chart of Accounts maintenance via updates to chart elements, approval updates, terminations, etc.
• Process and update Signature Authorization and Organizational authorization table

The Financial Information System Technical Support Specialist will work with university administration, research administrators and a variety of accounting personnel across the University to provide technical training, consulting and support to the Portland State campus regarding the use of the University’s financial information system. This position will nurture a healthy, supportive atmosphere for fiscal and administrative operations at the University and create processes that serve students, faculty and staff while maintaining internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications from Classification This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience. Work Days / Hours Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement The starting salary rate for this position will be between $3,952 and $4,742 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience, with an excellent including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
