Manufacturing Engineer : Rockford, IL

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. This role is ideal for an analytical problem solver with a background in machining and a passion for continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineer will lead projects, analyze data, and implement best practices to ensure high-quality production and streamlined operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage process optimization and continuous improvement projects from concept to completion
• Conduct time and process studies, evaluate machine capabilities, and recommend efficiency enhancements
• Develop and maintain production routes for all relevant manufacturing items
• Ensure processes meet quality standards (APQP, PPAP, metallurgical specs)
• Collaborate with Quality Control to refine in-process inspections and maintain product integrity
• Work alongside engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot machining and assembly processes
• Identify and implement tooling solutions to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
• Participate in capital expenditure planning for new equipment and process improvements
• Optimize plant layouts to enhance workflow and improve space utilization
• Assist with the ISO 9001 compliance audit process and risk assessments for equipment reliability
• Support efforts to minimize scrap, improve setup times, and streamline production flow

Pay : $70,000 - $105,000 / year + Quarterly Bonus

Type : Full-time, 1st shift, on-site

Schedule : Monday – Friday 7 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.
