We are looking for an experienced Oracle CC& B Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is ideal for an individual who specializes in Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC& B) and possesses strong expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. You will play a key role in driving software solutions and ensuring optimal system performance within the government sector.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement new enterprise application solutions tailored to the needs of the Utilities department.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing and newly deployed software applications.
  • Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues impacting application performance, ensuring system reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and address complex issues.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders and vendors to address security concerns and implement safeguards for both short-term projects and long-term initiatives.
  • Work alongside vendors and business users to design and execute software integrations.
  • Evaluate and translate user business requirements into effective system development and modifications.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and requirements analysis to determine the viability of proposed systems.
  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions for non-enterprise applications as needed.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in maintaining and working with enterprise-level applications, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle-based applications, particularly Customer Care & Billing and Oracle Analytics Publisher.
  • Demonstrated ability to create Business Requirement Documents and manage configuration processes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and Visio for documentation and workflow visualization.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and technical teams on software integration projects.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies for application and infrastructure-related issues.
