Scope of Responsibilities
The Tax Professional will support the Paralegal Team in the Financial Services and Capital Markets unit, handling estate administration matters. Responsibilities include :
- Assisting attorneys with administering estates and funding post‑death irrevocable trusts.
- Preparing and filing estate‑related tax returns.
- Managing client case records.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare various tax returns including Estate Tax Returns and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns.Maintain trust financial records, perform trust accounting and audit accounts.Maintain G / L accounts, reconcile broker statements, prepare payables and bank deposits.Obtain and reconcile 1099 and K‑1 statements.Funding and administration of irrevocable trusts (post‑death).Provide accounting expertise and guidance to the team.Maintain close contact with clients and financial advisors.Meet annual billable hour requirement of 1,600 hours.Develop technical proficiency in database and project folder management.Organize and manage files independently or delegate to appropriate business professionals.Ensure attention to detail and quality of work.Other duties as assigned.Core Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required (CPA preferred).Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Experience in a fast‑paced, continually changing environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax / trust accounting software.Experience with document database programs.Significant client case management experience.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.10+ years of Trusts & Estates experience preferred.Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program preferred (may be considered in lieu of formal education).Compensation and Benefits
Employees receive compensation commensurate with skill and experience; compensation varies by skills, experience, location, and other lawful factors.
