- Job Overview
As a Content Creator, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling content that educates and inspires our audience of small business owners and tax professionals. You will work hand-in-hand with our founder / influencer to produce high-quality blogs, videos, and social media posts that align with our brand’s voice and mission. Your work will focus on legal, financial, and business topics, leveraging our founder’s expertise to create authentic, engaging, and actionable content. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and a passion for storytelling to drive engagement and growth.
- Key Responsibilities
- Blog Content Creation (30%)
- Write and edit informative, SEO-optimized blogs (800–1,500 words) on legal, financial, and business topics, such as tax strategies, compliance, and business growth.
- Research industry trends to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and valuable to main street business owners.
- Collaborate with the founder to incorporate their insights and voice into blog content, ensuring alignment with products like “Main Street Tax Pros.”
- Example : Develop a blog titled “5 Tax Mistakes Small Business Owners Must Avoid in 2025.”
- Video Content Production (30%)
- Film and edit personal, authentic content featuring the founder, including behind-the-scenes footage, vlogs, and educational videos (e.g., “A Day in the Life of an EdTech Influencer”).
- Produce short-form videos (15–60 seconds) for social media and longer-form content (2–5 minutes) for YouTube or our platform.
- Ensure high-quality visuals and audio, collaborating with our video team or editing directly on mobile device.
- Example : Create a video series on “Legal Tips for Scaling Your Business” with the founder.
- Social Media Content Creation (30%)
- Develop engaging social media posts for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok, including graphics, captions, and hashtags.
- Create content calendars to align posts with campaigns and trending topics.
- Design shareable content that drives engagement, such as infographics on tax tips or reels featuring the founder’s insights.
- Example : Post a TikTok reel with the founder explaining a tax deduction hack, tagged with #SmallBizTips.
- Collaboration and Strategy (10%)
- Work closely with the founder to brainstorm content ideas, ensuring authenticity and alignment with their influencer persona.
- Partner with the marketing team to integrate content into broader campaigns, leveraging strategies that have driven 100% organic traffic growth.
- Analyze content performance (e.g., engagement, click-through rates) and adjust strategies to maximize ROI, drawing on data-driven insights.
- Support live events (e.g., conferences) by capturing content, as outlined in our recent shot list.
- Qualifications
- Education
- : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Legal, Tax, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in content creation, ideally in EdTech, finance, legal or business sectors.
- Proven success in writing blogs, producing videos, and managing social media for a brand or influencer.
- Experience with SEO, content analytics, and campaign performance tracking (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite).
- Skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal and financial topics for a general audience.
- Proficiency in video production and editing (e.g., On mobile device, Canva, or similar tools).
- Strong social media savvy, with knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok trends.
- Creative storytelling and visual design skills to produce engaging, authentic content.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a high-profile founder and adapt to their vision.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Preferred
- Familiarity with tax, legal, or business topics (e.g., small business compliance, financial planning).
- Experience working with influencers or personal brands in the EdTech or entrepreneurial space.
- Knowledge of 2025 content trends, such as AI-driven personalization or community-centric storytelling.
