CNC MACHINIST

Job details Spherion is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our client's team in a temp-to-perm opportunity. This role offers a consistent day shift schedule, competitive pay, and the potential for long-term placement with a respected manufacturing company.

The Schedule is Monday-Friday from 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM with a 30-minute lunch; some overtime may be available

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CNC Lathe equipment to produce high-precision parts in small batch runs (typically 1-10 pieces per part). This position requires strong setup, changeover, and measurement skills, as well as a deep understanding of machining processes and materials.

Responsibilities :

• Reviewing samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Programming, operating and maintaining a CNC Lathe machine
• Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Taking measurements and marking material for cutting or shaping
• Determining and programming size of batches and speed of machines
• Checking output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Shop is not large runs of parts, but 1-10 of the same part. Significant setup time required.
• Changeover and setup machine for operation
