Machinist II

A leading industrial operation in Pasadena, TX 77507 is hiring a skilled Machinist II for a 1-year contract position offering $27 / hour . As a Machinist II, you will operate manual lathes and mills to fabricate or repair metal parts to exacting standards. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, experience with precision measuring tools, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills) to fabricate or repair metal parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes according to oilfield specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet project requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards
• Document work performed and maintain accurate production records
