Saint Patrick Catholic School (SPCS) is a PreK-8 Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Seattle. The Custodian at Saint Patrick Catholic School is responsible for ensuring that the building is and remains a clean and safe environment to learn.

Core Functions or Duties :

Vacuum carpets

Take out trash and recycling

Hallway sweeping

Mop floors as needed

Bathroom cleaning

Other duties as assigned

Summer duties would focus on preparation for the new school year and will be determined by the Facilities Manager

Additional Responsibilities :

Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager Principal or Vice Principal.

Qualifications / Competencies :

Previous experience in a custodial service-based position desired

Completed background check

High attention to detail

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to work independently and within a team

Disposition to perform other duties as assigned

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position an individual must be able to :

Ability to lift push pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds

Regular bending lifting stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head

Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits

Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists

Walking in and around the facility with great frequency

Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation

Dexterity in eye / hand coordination feet (foot pedals) manual (picking pinching holding grasping) and wrist motion (repetitive flexion / rotation)

Reports to the Facilities Manager Principal and Vice Principal

Works with the Assistant Facilities Manager and faculty & staff

Salary Range : $18.50 / hr

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.

This position is 0.250 FTE and not benefit-eligible.

Those with direct experience in Catholic education will be prioritized.
