Behavioral Health Specialist

Provide case management services to adult and geriatric populations on the inpatient behavioral health units, including patient assessment of symptoms, needs and risk, patient education, family education and intervention, collateral contact with mental health providers and family members, treatment planning and discharge planning.

To effectively assess the clinical needs of the adult, and make appropriate treatment and discharge plans that consider the needs of the individual. To explain procedures and treatment needs according to the age and level of comprehension, and to provide care in a manner that respects the dignity and autonomy of the adult patient.

Education : Masters degree in psychology or related field.

Licenses / Registrations : LCSW in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Experience : At least one year of behavioral health, can include internship.
