About The Position
We are seeking a Locums Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong background in stroke and general neurology to join our inpatient neurology team in Rockford, IL. This role is vital in delivering comprehensive neurological care and supporting both acute and ongoing patient management.
Position Details :
- Setting : Inpatient neurology with some intermittent outpatient responsibilities
- Schedule : Monday – Friday, 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)
- Call Requirements : None
Responsibilities :
Rounding on hospitalized neurology patientsPerforming new patient consultsManaging stroke alerts and responding to acute ED and transfer evaluationsPre- and post-operative management of endovascular casesIntermittent clinic in-basket managementCollaborating with attending neurologists, hospital staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesRequirements :
Board Certified or Board Eligible NP / PAActive DEA licenseIllinois medical license (IL CSR required)Current ACLS and BLS certificationsRockford, known as the “Forest City,” is located just 90 miles northwest of Chicago.
