Validation Software Engineer II

TEAM

Arene's mission is to simplify vehicle software development and increase developer agility by crafting tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety.

To support test-driven development, the Arene Engineering Solutions North America's Validation Team focuses on building validation frameworks to ensure the quality, robustness, reliability, and scalability of Arene products. This includes developing CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure, creating testing scripts, and continuously learning about a breadth of new technologies to determine the best way to test them.

You will report to Arene Validation Team's manager, and this role's workplace type is hybrid - you will work in the office at least 3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, develops, improves, and maintains reusable software components, frameworks, and tools primarily written in Python.
• Contributes to the long-term testing framework of Woven by Toyota's middleware and Vehicle OS.
• Be excited about working hands-on in a fast-paced environment on software closely connected to operating systems, compute hardware, sensors, and vehicles.
• Be ready to dive-in and learn across the technology stack and leverage experience to develop solutions with sound design principles, extensibility, and quality in mind.
• Set the roadmap by working with other middleware, ADAS, and autonomy software teams, and influence strategic decisions within and outside the team.
• Be self-driven and willing to learn.
