CNC Machinist & Programmer

Job Title : CNC Machinist & Programmer – Full Time position

Location : Jacksonville, FL

Job Type and Duration : Direct Hire

Pay range : $$ Hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines – including program setup and running operations. (Mazak, DMG / Mori)
• Program complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and / or conversational programming on Mazak lathes & mills)
• Develop machine set-ups and program edits, ensuring programs are organized and preserved
• Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
• Read and interpret -D shop prints
• Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing  Work with tolerances to + / - .”
• Maintain highest levels of quality – as specified by customer requirements
• Inspect parts using a variety of equipment : micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, other as needed
• Demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate and avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot and resolve any problems that do arise
• Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
• Update job paperwork, keeping it accurate and organized
• Use electronic Job Tracking system to ensure job status remains accurate and up-to-date
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M / M schedules
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary and appropriate
