Reporting to an experienced Clinic Operations Manager, the Ambulatory Services Radiology Tech will be a key member of the ambulatory imaging team. The X-Ray Tech holds no formal direct reports but may informally mentor Medical Assistants or new Rad Tech hires while collaborating daily with orthopedic surgeons, interventional pain physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, front office coordinators, and scheduling specialists to keep patient flow smooth.
The Ambulatory Services Radiology Tech will support a busy ambulatory clinic and ASC service line where 20–40 diagnostic studies per day are common across Orthopedic and Spine clinics. This Radiology Tech will join a supportive, professional team that values precision, empathy, and speed, working with exceptional providers and experienced Radiology Technician peers in a clean, well-organized imaging suite designed for efficiency and patient comfort.
As an Ambulatory Services Radiology Tech, responsibilities include performing high-quality diagnostic X-rays, selecting proper exposure factors, expertly positioning patients, and applying ALARA principles with meticulous use of protective shielding. This candidate will educate patients on procedures, complete imaging per protocol, maintain logs and QC records, ensure room readiness and inventory, retrieve outside images and reports, and document workflows within PACS / EMR. An experienced Tech with 2+ years of outpatient orthopedic X-Ray experience will surely receive expedited consideration. ARRT certification, Oregon radiography permit, and experience as a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech / Rad Tech in Ambulatory and ASC environments are highly valued; familiarization with orthopedic alignment views and support for interventional pain management imaging (within scope and credentialing) are pluses.
