Nights

8 and 12-hour shifts

Every third weekend rotation

Holiday rotation

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview : Become a valuable member of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care for a diverse patient population, including :

Post-operative patients from craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries

Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program

A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients

What You'll Do :

Deliver and coordinate evidence-based patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe and compassionate care

Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal patient outcomes

Enhance patient experiences across the care continuum

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness

Anticipate and respond to changes in patient condition

Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and readiness to learn

Coordinate discharge plans with an interdisciplinary approach

Promote a culture of safety, report incidents, and improve processes

Participate in professional development and quality initiatives

Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association

Education Required :

Completion of an accredited nursing program

Experience Required :

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Ability to provide holistic patient care with a focus on family-centered approaches

Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Good communication and interpersonal skills for building professional relationships

Critical decision-making and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform physical tasks related to patient care

Ability to manage weights of up to 50 lbs and perform transfers

Exposure to chemical, hazardous waste, and bodily fluids; use of protective gear required
