UPMC Central PA is seeking an academically inclined Internist for 64 medical residents. Currently, we have 46 categorical residents and 18 medical residents in our osteopathic recognition track. Many opportunities for advancement including pathways to :

  • Associate Program Director
  • Director of Research Program

Opportunity :

Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities of precepting and teaching residents in both the hospital and a continuity clinic.

  • Daily inpatient census of 16
  • Resident to Faculty ratio : 4-1 (outpatient)
  • Work with students from Penn State University and Drexel University
  • Pursuit of personal academic interests
  • Clinical-faculty appointment offered at Penn State / Hershey and Drexel University
  • Monday-Friday day shift hours
  • Mentorship opportunities of residents available
  • Back up call to Residents from home only
  • Admin expectations for CORE faculty - research, interviews, board prep, lectures, mentorship
