Education : Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Required; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, ECE : Exceptional Educational Needs, Child Development, or related field with 18 ECE credits (ECEEN, Child and Family Studies, Elementary Education)Certification : DPI certification in ECE, ECEEN, or related field desirableExperience : Minimum 1 year in early care education setting with preschool teaching experience; experience with low-income familiesProfessional Competencies : Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, alignment with agency mission, supervisory capabilitiesAdditional Requirements : Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with adequate insuranceWhat You'll Do
As a Site Director, you'll lead comprehensive programming by :
Providing site leadership to create safe, nurturing environments that encourage children's holistic developmentPlanning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in low-income, at-risk environmentsEnsuring delivery of quality, comprehensive services including education, health, nutrition, and family supportProviding supervision and performance feedback for reporting staffFollowing Head Start Performance Standards, Reach Dane policies, and accreditation criteriaBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with parents, children, staff, and community partnersManaging site operations and ensuring compliance with licensing and program standardsSupporting parent involvement and connecting families with necessary resources and referralsWho We Are
