Arrow Staffing is Hiring 2nd Shift Molding Technician

We are seeking an experienced Molding Technician for a 2nd shift opportunity located downtown Grand Rapids . This is a full-time position with pay ranging from $22 $28 per hour , depending on experience.

2nd Shift- 3pm to 11pm

The Molding Technician is responsible for overseeing assigned work areas and injection molding machines to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate operators and production activities under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage injection molding machine operators by providing direction, coordinating activities, and assigning work duties.

Verify work area and machine setup prior to production.

Perform process setup, job startup, and process verification.

Troubleshoot and make process adjustments to ensure product quality.

Complete production orders on time as directed by supervisor.

Assist in problem solving and corrective actions for internal or customer-related issues.

Issue tooling and maintenance work orders in Plex.

Communicate with Tooling Engineer regarding mold profiles and necessary changes.

Continuously work to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.

Set operator break schedules and assist with coverage.

Perform first and last shot inspections, maintaining samples as required.

Ensure proper identification of all materials and products.

Verify inspection documents are accurate and within specifications; escalate issues as needed.

Maintain 5S standards in the work area.

Complete shift reports when supervisor is not present.

Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Ability to perform all essential job functions.

Eligible to obtain Hilo and crane license.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate s Degree in a technical field preferred.

One to two years of proven related experience required.

RJG or decoupled molding experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and interpret English instructions and policies.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints; apply basic algebra and statistics.

Strong reasoning ability to make sound production decisions based on customer requirements and schedules.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and / or move up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and use of all four limbs.

Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.

Computer / System Knowledge

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows environments.

Ability to use email and company systems (e.g., Plex).

Commitment to quality, environmental policies, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving machinery, vibration, and moderate noise.
