Behavioral Health Solutions is a team of mental health treatment professionals who specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services in Skilled Nursing Facilities and through SNF, Outpatient, and Telehealth. As we expand as a leading provider, we are seeking skilled professionals of the highest caliber of integrity.

Position Summary :

The Contracting Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the LOI and initial credentialing process of all healthcare contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, negotiating terms, and assisting in the management of provider and insurance relationships. This position involves working closely with both internal and external partners to ensure efficient processes, accurate documentation, and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities :

Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and external partners regarding contracts.

Submit LOI and provider intent forms to initiate all new contract

Review, and manage contracts with insurance companies, and both government and state agency vendors to ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations

Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and communication related to contracting activities.

Maintain all vendor management post contract awards

Stay updated on CMS regulations and final rules that may affect existing contract rates or terms.

Ensure procedure codes are added as necessary to existing fee schedules.

Coordinate with the director and Executive Leadership Team (when needed) to ensure contract compliance

Monitor government group contract terms and renewals – revalidations and recertifications

Work with Director to resolve any contract-related issues that present

Communicate contract terms to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance

Support Director in annual review and analysis of performance and rates to identify cost savings, reimbursement increases or improvements

Serve as the primary point of contact for all single case agreements, one-time exceptions, or settlement agreements to be reviewed by management.

Ensure contracts are executed in accordance with organization guidelines.

Performing additional tasks, duties, and assignments as directed by management.

Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with payers, state agencies, internal staff, stakeholders, and external partners.

Regulatory Compliance : Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing healthcare and behavioral health practices, with a commitment to ensuring compliance.

Problem-Solving : Ability to identify and resolve disputes or issues related to contracts with providers or payers, and address any non-compliance or concerns in a prompt manner.

Team Collaboration : Skill in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals and objectives. Be prepared to provider support and be a resource to staff on policies and guidelines.

Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Use of Technology : Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel, etc) Experience in the use of EHR software systems, preferably AthenaOne.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)

Minimum of one year in Credentialing, Payer Contracting, Provider Relations, or Quality Assurance.

Experience in managing relationships with healthcare providers and / or healthcare facilities.
