Job Summary : Under general supervision, the Case Worker - Financial Educator uses advanced skills gained through training and experience to provide specialized financial educational counseling services within an assigned functional area. Regularly communicates information to clients regarding program services. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and complexity requiring limited decision-making responsibility. Originality and ingenuity are required to locate, select and apply appropriate procedures, processes and techniques to assignments that are broad in nature. Resolves most questions and problems and may serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues. Routine contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assess and complete initial review process and necessary paperwork related to services provided
Provide advocacy and information regarding assigned program objectives to clients
Enroll clients into appropriate program benefits and activities and monitor progress
Coordinate the delivery of benefits and services to clients
Refer clients to other services as needed
Assists clients in recognizing and understanding -at risk- behaviors
Facilitates workshop opportunities by working with community partners / subject matter experts to deliver workshop or by developing and presenting materials on topics of relevance
Advocate on behalf of client in written and oral form when providing necessary referrals and contacts with other departments / agencies / companies
Follow up on the various services the client was referred to ensure participation, measure outcomes and monitor program compliance
Utilize program tools to identify goals and address barriers
Document all services in compliance with the agency-s quality assurance plan
Run reports on program software applications regularly and upon request
Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client referral sources
Maintain program policies and procedures, and caseload per funding guidelines
Participates in analytical analysis of the program and identification of participant characteristics
Provide technical and administrative support for assigned functional area activities
May include assisting and enrolling clients in programs, services and benefits offered and referring clients in need of other services outside the scope of the area
Maintain program policies and procedures per funding guidelines
Maintain agency confidentiality and client-s privacy
Maintain currency on new services and referral sources as well as services provided to clients
May conduct presentations and awareness campaigns in order to raise awareness of services offered and increase participation
May translate and interpret information for non-English speaking clients as needed
Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of :
Community resources including banking and financial products available, grants, social services and other agency services available
Processes, rules and regulations of various services and funding agencies surrounding the eligibility and maintenance of the services being received
Skill in :
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Instructing others on how to do a task
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office
Ability to :
Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Speak and write in English
Ability to interpret, speak and write in Arabic, Spanish or other native language of the predominant service population a plus
Maintain confidentiality of agency and client information
Educational / Previous Experience Requirements :
Minimum Degree Required :
Bachelor-s degree
Required Disciplines :
Business, Marketing, Social Work or Human Services based on assigned functional area

Working Conditions :
Hours : Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required (Career Center open until 7pm every Thursday, coverage is rotated)
Travel Required : Local travel is required
