What will you do

As a Structural Analysis Engineer in our San Diego office you will create modify and maintain structural finite element models (FEMs) of components and systems with applicationsranging from stress analysis to structural dynamics / environments development.

Essential Job Functions :

• Perform structural finite element analysis (FEA) for a range of solutions and load types including static nonlinear thermal distortion modal structural dynamics (vibration & shock)
• Perform structural-thermal-optical-performance (STOP) analysis for optical components and systems
• Assist in redesign and optimization of structures and systems not meeting load & environment requirements
• Present findings to the project team company or customer
• Create reports to document analysis results conclusions and recommendations

Location

Position is based in San Diego CA with a hybrid schedule.
