Medical Coder

Title : Medical Coder Location : Philadelphia, PA Duration : 5 Months Contract-to-hire Job Description : This position is initially onsite. In the future, it may transition to a hybrid model with onsite work expected from Tuesday to Thursday." Client is seeking two experienced healthcare professionals to join their Medical Policy & Claim Payment Policy team. Ideal candidates will be Registered Nurses (RN) or other licensed clinical professionals (e.g., LPN, Physical Therapist, etc.) who also hold a coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT). This is a policy development role, not a chart auditing or typical coding job. Must-Have Skills & Requirements : RN or LPN License (other allied health professionals also considered) Certified coder (CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT required) Strong understanding of Medicare rules, CMS guidelines, and medical billing processes Prior clinical experience in a provider setting Prior coding experience (not just certified—must have worked in coding) Comfortable in policy development, or at least familiar with payer policies Knowledge of professional claims (facility coding is a bonus) Comfortable communicating with leadership and participating in presentations Able and willing to work onsite 3 days / week (Tues-Thurs) in the Tri-State area Must be open to contract-to-hire Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) : Experience with CMS, Medicare Advantage, FDA approval processes Familiarity with medical devices, specialty drugs, or infusible / injectable products Prior exposure to policy documentation or policy development Experience with DRG or facility claim reimbursement is a plus Thanks & Regards, Simon Arthur Zolon Tech
