Minneapolis MN Contract to Hire Hybrid $25-34 / hr

Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is seeking a contract Procurement Specialist for the microelectronics department. This role is an excellent opportunity to apply your purchasing expertise in a fast-paced environment. As a Purchasing Coordinator you will play a key role in managing procurement data processing purchase orders and supporting purchasing operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities :

• Prepare and distribute requests for quotation (RFQs) based on engineering and production requirements.
• Follow up with approved vendors to obtain pricing lead times and availability.
• Evaluate supplier quotes for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Create and issue purchase orders while confirming correct quantities pricing and delivery schedules.
• Track open orders and communicate updates or delays to internal teams.
• Maintain organized records of procurement transactions and vendor communications in the ERP system.
• Support vendor relationships by addressing delivery questions or minor order discrepancies.
• Work closely with engineering production quality and finance teams to keep procurement aligned with business needs.
• Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies and ethical standards.
• Contribute to process improvement and assist with other departmental projects as assigned.
