Overview

Under the direct supervision from the Director of Medical Imaging and indirect supervision from the Imaging Medical Director, the Imaging Technologist supervises Imaging staff on a specific shift. Responsibilities include performing routine diagnostic procedures, recommending related administrative actions for Imaging staff, and handling other duties such as scheduling procedures, answering telephones, and interacting with other departmental and hospital employees. The employee is expected to support the Mission and Core Values of St. Bernardine Medical Center and contribute to the organizations quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Imaging staff on a specific shift under the Director of Medical Imaging and Imaging Medical Director.
• Perform diagnostic procedures according to established standards and department policies.
• Prepare diagnostic procedures for interpretation in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Schedule procedures, answer telephones, and interact with other departmental and hospital employees.
• Recommend related administrative actions, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions for Imaging staff under supervision.
• Support the organizations mission, core values, strategic plan, and quality / process improvement activities.
