Production Innovation & Development Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Product Innovation & Development Manager to lead the new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization and ongoing management. In this role, you will identify future growth opportunities with hands-on execution, oversee product development, manage cross-functional projects, maintain critical product and claims-related documentation, manage global supplier relationships, and ensure products are successfully launched, according to the agreed upon success criteria.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment with a smaller team, comfortable brainstorming ideas, analyzing consumer trends, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring accurate products are developed, launched and maintained successfully. We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive product success and business growth. In addition, clear and concise communication skills are a must have skill, both written and verbal.

Product Development
Partner with our CPO and cross-functional partners to identify innovation opportunities and formulate product pipelines.Partner with the CPO on the end-to-end product development process for new product considerations at DYPER.Identify market trends, consumer insights, and competitive gaps to inform new product opportunities.Manage prototype iterations with external vendors and document test results, draft specifications and other relevant documentation.Coordinate and execute home use product testing with target audiences and formulate recommendations based on results and data analytics.Partner with laboratories on product testing to ensure product performance and quality.Product Lifecycle Management
Manage the full lifecycle of products, including documentation, testing, setup, and phase-out.Oversee the performance of existing SKUs.Partner with our CX team to monitor consumer feedback and propose mitigation plans addressing product-related complaints and feedback.Supplier Relationship Management
Proactively monitor relevant supplier and manufacturing landscape.Partner with suppliers during product development to leverage technical expertise and explore innovative materials, packaging, or processes.Work closely with the CPO and global suppliers, balancing diverse cultural and regional requirements - requiring flexibility to work effectively across time zones.Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and long-term partnerships.Collaborate with the Operations team on supplier performance using KPIs (quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost) and drive corrective actions when needed.Ensure suppliers meet all regulatory, sustainability, and ethical sourcing requirements.Proactively identify risks in the supply base and develop contingency plans or alternate sourcing strategies in partnership with Supply Chain.Repository & Database Management
Maintain and organize the repository of all product and claim-related documentation, including formulations, packaging specifications, test results, and certifications.Ensure version control and accuracy across product records, specifications, and historical data.Track and manage certification renewals, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.Record and archive lab test results, trending data, and quality reports for reference and analysis.Product Setup & Retail / E-Commerce Management
Manage product onboarding and setup across online and retail channels, including TikTok Shop, Amazon, and Target in partnership with Marketing and Operations.Ensure accurate product composition, descriptions, and specifications are reflected in listings.Project Management
Develop and manage product timelines and deliverables for all relevant projects.Coordinate cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, supply chain, and design.Ensure clear communication of project status, risks, and milestones to the team.Drive accountability to meet deadlines and launch dates.Cross-Functional Collaboration Qualifications
Work closely with customer service to assist with product knowledge and resolution on product issues.Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and channel strategies.Partner with our operations / supply chain team to reduce product costs and improve margins.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Science Field – Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or related field3–5 years of experience in product development AND project managementCPG experience requiredProven track record of cross-functional collaboration (marketing, operations, supply chain, quality, regulatory).Retail and e-commerce product setup, including UPCs, item master data, and channel requirements.Requires flexibility to work effectively across different global time zones.Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to handle multiple projects.Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) and Microsoft Office / Google Suite.At DYPER, we believe in making a difference, not just in the lives of parents but for the planet.
