Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy sessions in individual and / or group settings.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, educators, family members, and other healthcare professionals to support patient goals.
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques to encourage progress outside of clinical sessions.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices, professional guidelines, and continuing education.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech Language Pathologist.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; CFY considered in some settings.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experience with pediatric, adult, or mixed populations depending on setting.
