Supervisor In Paper Manufacturing
Join a dynamic team in Waco as a Supervisor in Paper Manufacturing, where you will play a critical role in overseeing fiber receiving, production operations, and wastewater treatment processes. Key Responsibilities :
- Directly supervise a team of operations technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safe performance.
- Manage day-to-day operations to meet all wastewater regulation requirements and align with business objectives.
- Provide technical support and ensure adherence to policies related to water quality, treatment, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and respond to water quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee procurement and management of treatment chemicals to maintain adequate supplies and effective operational standards.
- Train and support plant staff on best practices in treatment and environmental initiatives.
- Set clear goals for the team, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Engage with employees by addressing issues, recognizing performance, and ensuring accountability.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Paper Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Administration, or related field; or significant related work experience.3-10 years of supervisory experience in paper manufacturing.2-4 years of experience in paper fiber preferred.Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and relevant environmental regulations.Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma preferred.Skills :
Proven leadership skills in training, coaching, and mentoring teams.Strong safety orientation and strategic problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently or collaboratively.Ability to coordinate across departments and functions.Key Competencies :
