JOB SUMMARY

Salvage / Environmental Response Technicians are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with salvage operations, hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling hazardous materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to meet all physical qualifications per company guidelines.
• Must have Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English Language.
• Heavy equipment operator experience is a plus.
• Will be required to complete confined space entry (CSE) and 40 Hour OSHA Training.
• Graded background score of 02 or less in order to enter client sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SHIFT INFORMATION

The standard work schedule for an Environmental Field Technician is Monday – Friday from 7 : 00am to 3 : 45 pm with a 45-minute lunch break. May be required to work extended (>

8 hour) time periods. Note that in emergency response situations these periods can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hours; Because of the emergency response and operational nature of this position, a continuing condition of employment is that the applicant / candidate acknowledges and agrees to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and on occasion will require work during weekends and holidays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
