Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Assess patient symptoms and concerns via phone using clinical protocols and critical thinking.Prioritize calls based on acuity and provide appropriate medical advice or escalate to providers as needed.Identify signs of cardiac emergencies (e.g., chest pain, arrhythmias) and direct patients to emergency care when necessary.Efficiently and effectively provides nursing care including assessments, teaching, medication, treatments, etc. for all patients and completes annual competencies.Conduct diagnostic testing under the supervision of a physician or licensed practitioner and monitor patient responses.Knowledge of cardiovascular drugsKnowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and the ability to educate patients regarding arrhythmia treatment options ordered by the providerDocuments assessment and care / instructions given.Reports results and pertinent information to patients and provider.Explain different cardiac procedures to patients and be able to answer questions confidently regarding different cardiac procedures and protocols.Assists with assessment by collection of data for patients in the clinic or on the phone.Abide by HIPAA compliant patient privacy standards of practice.Maintain current knowledge of the frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field.Assist with scheduling and confirming appointments as needed.Be able to work in a team-based environment free of discrimination or personal biases.Qualifications :
Current RN license in the state of Idaho with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationsKnowledge of cardiac care procedures and protocols.High Desert Heart and Vascular is an independently owned and operated, cardiovascular practice, bringing an unparalleled standard of excellence to our patients.
