Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing environment. The LVN will work under the supervision of an RN and play a key role in maintaining continuity of care by administering medications, delivering direct patient care, and supervising CNAs and support staff. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work compassionately with residents and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for residents under RN supervision
Administer medications safely and accurately
Provide direct nursing care and ensure continuity of resident care
Supervise and support CNAs and other direct care staff
Document care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and regulatory agencies
Maintain professionalism and uphold facility care standards
Qualifications
Active and current California LVN license
Minimum 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Current BLS certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT may be required depending on assignment)
Must pass facility nursing medical test
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to interface professionally and respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors
Basic computer skills required
