MEP Department Head

Qualifications and responsibilities for this MEP Department Head position include :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field); Professional Engineer (PE) license in NC required
• 10+ years of MEP experience and 5+ years in a leadership capacity managing engineering teams
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the MEP department in the Asheville office, overseeing 25 engineers
• Act as a technical authority and project manager, reviewing designs and ensuring code compliance and performance
• Drive business development by expanding client relationships and securing new MEP projects in the Asheville / Raleigh region
• Coordinate staffing, hiring, budgeting, and project resource planning
• Strong background in municipal, K-12, higher education, and healthcare / life sciences projects
• Proficiency with MEP design software, CAD, and preferably Deltek Vision

Salary : $147,000 - $243,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Total compensation estimated between $250,000 - $300,000 annually with bonus.
