Brief Overview of Position :

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for Data Analyst roles to support the US Department of Justice (DOJ) client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods in data analytics. Positions require onsite support in DOJ facilities in Washington, DC in addition to telework.

Description of Duties :

  • Provide support to enhance the data analytics capabilities of the DOJ, including cloud-based and on-premise data analytics services and configuration support.
  • Provide support that includes Data Discovery and Collection, Data Storage, Data Transformation, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Reporting, Data Security and Management Compliance, Data Documentation and Cataloguing, Consultative and Training Support, and SAS Deployment and Administration.
  • Possess skills and experience in some or all of the following :
  • SAS Desktop and SAS Viya on AWS;
  • AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Secure Shell key-based methods, and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM);
  • Amazon S3 and other secure methods;
  • Amazon RDS and AWS Backup;
  • Python;
  • SQL Server on AWS.

Education, Experience, and Security Requirements :

  • BS / BA or equivalent with at least five years of experience in data analysis, having experience conducting complex data analysis, including data collection, data transformation and data visualization
  • Have relevant experience in the past three years at federal government organizations which have multiple customer types and data models (Shared Service partners; and Federal Program Agencies)
  • Demonstrated expertise in AWS data processing and serverless technologies
  • Independent problem-solving capabilities for complex data engineering challenges
  • Experience developing scalable data models for business intelligence and machine learning applications
  • Proven ability to work autonomously on data transformation and automation projects
  • Fluency and creativity in using open-source tools to support advanced data analysis and data pipeline development
  • Experience in data modeling and data management best practices
  • Expertise in human-centered design, product development, and Agile-based methodologies
  • Ability to pass the US Government security requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required due to applicable federal contract and / or security-clearance requirements
