Overview :
We are seeking a Virtual Charge Nurse to lead clinical operations within a virtual command center. This role combines virtual oversight with on-site responsibilities during night shifts, ensuring coordination and patient safety across multiple departments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Virtual Oversight : Monitor and manage four clinical service teams through the virtual command center, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to protocols.
- Leadership & Coordination : Act as the primary point of leadership during night shifts, providing guidance and resolving issues when other leaders are off duty.
- Supervision : Oversee virtual companions monitoring high-risk patients and supervise LPNs to maintain patient safety and care standards.
- Department Management : Direct operations for cardiac monitoring, patient transport, and logistics, ensuring timely and efficient workflows.
- Conflict Resolution : Address and resolve conflicts across departments promptly, maintaining a collaborative and professional environment.
- Clinical Rounding : Coordinate virtual rounding activities and unify processes across all four service teams.
- Technology Utilization : Use audio / visual tools to monitor patient rooms and support virtual care initiatives.
- Compliance & Documentation : Ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of cardiac rhythms and adherence to clinical standards.
- Problem Solving : Respond to unexpected issues and operational challenges with sound judgment and quick decision-making.
Qualifications :
Current RN license; Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) or multi-state licensure preferred.Minimum 5+ years of recent nursing experience with care transitions.Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR); BSN preferred.Cardiac monitoring experience required.BLS certification required; ALS preferred.Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.Ability to use audio / visual technologies and thrive in a dynamic environment.$44.00- $60.00 per hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
