Job Title : Bookkeeper (AP / Payroll)

Location : Clackamas, OR

Job Details : Fully Onsite, Long-Term Contract (6 months to 2 years), Full Time

Compensation : $25-$32 an hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our client in Clackamas, OR. As an ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction accounts payable and payroll, and possesses strong Sage software experience.

Responsibilities :

• Review and process construction-related invoices with appropriate tax coding, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with sales / use tax, prevailing wage requirements, and other regulatory obligations specific to the construction industry.
• Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements, maintaining comprehensive vendor and subcontractor files that support financial statement reporting, audit readiness, certified payroll, and tax documentation needs for construction projects.
• Respond to vendor and subcontractor inquiries, prepare and execute weekly payment runs, and assist the payroll and accounting teams by gathering supporting documents for payroll processing, certified payroll reports, tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting related to construction activities.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and payroll records; assist with month-end close, accruals, and preparation of schedules used in financial statements, job costing, payroll tax computations, and project reporting.
• Support payroll and tax preparation activities by organizing source documents, compiling expense and labor data, and assisting with the preparation of business tax returns, sales / use tax filings, certified payroll submissions, and other compliance reports required for construction projects.
