Project Manager
Under the direct supervision of the Project Management Leader, the Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing smaller, less complex projects from the point of sales order acknowledgment through final customer acceptance. This role serves as the primary point of contact for both internal and external customers and is tasked with maintaining project timelines, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and customer expectations.
Essential Functions :
- Collaborate with project team members and customers to define project scope, objectives, risks, and deliverables.
- Identify roles, tasks, and resources required for the project and coordinate resource allocation with department leaders.
- Organize and lead project risk burndown kickoff meetings and follow-up sessions to mitigate identified risks.
- Lead and manage the project team, conducting regular project status meetings.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on project budget performance.
- Schedule, facilitate, and follow through on Integrated Planning Sessions (IPS), including coordination of team requirements, third-party services, safety plans, and customer communication strategies.
- Track project milestones and ensure the timely completion of all deliverables.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders.
- Ensure timely invoicing per contractual obligations.
- Oversee post-shipment activities including start-up, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and final customer wrap-up meetings.
- Address open issues and ensure comprehensive closure before project completion.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree required; or Associate degree with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) environment.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong knowledge of project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet).Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint.Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.Willingness to travel up to 1015% as needed.Barry-Wehmiller is an equal opportunity employer.
