About this role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health Clinic. This is a non-hospital , outpatient role focused on supporting individuals with mental health and substance use needs. The RN plays a key role in providing coordinated care, health education, clinical support, and advocacy for clients receiving behavioral health services.
Pay
$32.39 ($60,645 annually) to $43.84 ($82,086 annually)
Schedule : Contingent / PRN
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assessments, health screenings, and ongoing monitoring for individuals receiving behavioral health treatment.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications, including injections, and complete medication education with clients.
- Monitor for medication side effects, changes in condition, and overall health status, reporting concerns to the treatment team and providers.
- Support crisis intervention efforts, including triage and coordination of higher-level care when needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education to clients and families regarding mental health conditions, wellness strategies, and ongoing care needs.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement activities.
- Promote a trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented approach in all interactions.
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Prior experience in behavioral health, community health, outpatient care, or related settings preferred.Knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices, psychotropic medications, and behavioral health conditions.Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.CPR / First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance for use of vehicle during work hours.Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays, or irregular hours, including on-call responsibilities.Work Environment
