Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled Process Engineer with experience in the plastics and tubing industry to analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes related to extrusion, molding, and finishing of plastic tubing products. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, product quality, and overall process reliability, while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Key Responsibilities : Develop, monitor, and optimize extrusion, molding, and downstream processes for plastic tubing production. Identify opportunities for improving process performance, cycle times, and material utilization. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement sustainable solutions. Evaluate and recommend changes to tooling, materials, and equipment to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to support new product introductions and process validations. Maintain and update process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process parameters. Ensure all processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA if applicable). Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality or production problems and implement corrective actions. Support equipment commissioning, process scale-up, and capacity expansion projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) across the production floor. Qualifications : Required : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). 5+ years of process engineering experience in plastics manufacturing, preferably extrusion or tubing. Hands-on experience with extrusion equipment and knowledge of polymer processing behavior. Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven approach to process optimization. Proficient in process documentation and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC).
